Manchester Songwriting Tips: Judges wrote feedback for the songwriters at The Forum Theatre giving them Manchester songwriting tips. Manchester songwriting tips are provided to help songwriters gain more insight into the industry.

Emma Conner - Good narrative to the song. Really nice pace however it needs more of a hook, something to identify it easier, click here for more advice on how to write songs. Perhaps try singing it in a higher key, click here for more tips on live performance opportunities.
Sakinapoet – Great rap with very good lyrics. They told a story and had a good message. Brilliant energy on stage, click here for more on the live performance opportunities. Need to work more on your diction so as to hear the words more clearly.
Vickie Harness – Liked how the song painted a picture, like a story, or a movie, click here for more tips on how to write songs. Nice build to the song from beginning to end. Try experimenting with a more interesting chord progression with more of a dynamic build to give the performance more punch especially on the chorus and hooks, click here for more on vocal dynamics.
Ella Greenway – Nice, memorable performance, click here for more on live performance opportunities. Very mature lyrics and storytelling for your age, click here for more tips on how to write songs. Perhaps. Song would also work well on an older voice! Great melodies especially on the verses, very catchy and authentic song.
Andy & Emma - Very good performance and a great commercial and quirky sound! Nice chords and strumming, however, some of the melody clashed with the guitar, consider some points in the following article guitar dynamics for your performance. Liked the harmonies and how direct the song was. Thought the song was really accessible and it had a very distinct chorus, click here for more tips on how to write songs.
